As my birthday approaches this week, I've never felt more ready for what's to come… what's next… but I also realize how special this moment is right now.
A special time for me to reflect and connect with this past year and how much I've learned, grown and created.
These are not material things I'm talking of, or anything you can physically see, but rather deep internal shifts that have brought me to an entirely different place in my life… and in my soul.
Giving up alcohol was something I never thought I'd be able to do. It was something I wanted to do for many years, but It always sucked me back in.
In letting it go, I have been given so much… so much strength, confidence, and happiness that I never knew existed.
Instead of looking for love in the external, I have learned to find love within myself.
No longer am I held hostage by my past and the circumstances that I thought defined my identity, but my identity is now rooted in eternal love, courage, and my connection to God and all that is.
I realize this one year and the choices I made laid the foundation for the rest of my life-- who I am today, who I am tomorrow, what kind of wife I will be, what kind of mom I will be, what kind of leader I will be.
I encourage everyone to find their truth, because it opens you up to a whole new world.
A world of wonder, of new perspectives, of love, trust, faith, patience, adventure, and most of all peace.
In today’s world, this could be my greatest accomplishment, and will continue to be my most sacred possession.
The greatest takeaway is that it's impossible to build a beautiful home on a rocky foundation.
When the foundation is off, everything is in jeopardy.
The bigger you want to build, the higher you want to climb, and the more you want to create, the deeper your foundation needs to be.
